The city of Ronda is an enchanting little city, also called the ‘city of castles’. A trip to Málaga should definitely include a visit to Ronda and a route around the white villages of the area, which is a great experience. Tours take the visitors along the coastline, as well as inland over the hills and pass unique white villages, called ‘Pueblos Blancos’. This is a perfect daytrip and can be rounded off with a relaxed stay in Ronda, where the oldest bullfighting arena of Spain can be found. Once a year the ‘Corrida Goyesca’ takes place, a historical and very famous bullfight, which is an important cultural event in Andalusia. Arabic influences can be found in Ronda as well, with some legacy shown in the Arab baths which are partly still functioning.
