A buggy tour around Marbella with your family
This might be better suited to teenagers and big kids, instead of the little ones. Yet, it can be a whole lot of fun and gives you another perspective of the city. The buggies are driven by the adults and many tours wind through the mountains, offering amazing views over the area. No doubt the children will love racing through off-road tracks, surrounded by mountainsides.
Torremolinos Aqualand
It would not be a holiday in Marbella with your family if you did not visit at least one water park. Aqualand is suitable for all the family, even for the littlest among us. For older children, there are some truly death-defying water slides. The highest in Europe, the Kamikaze, is here in Torremolinos and it is worth a shot, if only to dare the kids to be brave enough. For smaller children, there are some calmer swimming pools and a specially designated park. You can also find plenty of areas to have a picnic and relax in the sun.
Crocodile Park
Whilst in Torremolinos, it might be worth a visit to the crocodile park. The largest crocodile in Europe lives here, The Big Daddy. There is also a nursery for the baby crocodiles, as well as plenty of chances to touch a crocodile in the flesh. The park is not just for fun, as there are plenty of educational tours and presentations. This is a great option whilst in Marbella with your family, as the children get the chance to learn as well as to have fun.
Mundo Mania
Close to the main tourist drag of Puerto Banús is Mundo Mania, a relatively new indoor and outdoor play centre. They have an enormous soft play zone, as well as some water attractions to get wet with. There are also areas designated for sports such as tennis, football and basketball. Couple this with regular planned activities, and you have more than enough to occupy the family for the whole day.
Spend the day on the beach
What Marbella does have in spades are beaches. There are 24 of them, in fact. Many of these have been awarded prizes over the years for excellent standards. There is a lot to be said for taking your family down to the beach and spending a day playing in the sea. Playa de la Fontanilla is one of the largest, and you can also rent equipment for water sports. Playa Alicate has shallower waters, so is most often frequented by families with very young children. After cooling off in the water, most of Marbella’s beaches are only a stone’s throw from the nearest town. From here, you can walk into the centre and enjoy a spot of souvenir shopping and enjoy the sights of Marbella with your family.
Prison Island
Close to Malaga is a rather interesting family attraction, based around an escape room. However, the whole place is geared towards collecting clues and puzzles along the way. This means that the whole family can participate. Prison Island is a fantastic way to pass an entire day, and there is no upper or lower age limit. The idea is to get the whole family working together to solve the clues and win the game. It really is a great way to enjoy Marbella with the family.
